Terms of Service

By booking our services, you agree to the terms below.

What to Bring

Clients must bring the following to each training session:

  • Treats and a treat pouch

  • Poo bags

  • A lead

Dogs must wear a flat collar and/or harness with an ID tag. Dogs must remain on lead at all times unless instructed otherwise.

Training Approach

We use reward-based training only. Harsh handling, physical corrections, or aversive tools (such as prong collars) are not permitted during sessions.

Please avoid feeding your dog a large meal within one hour of training to reduce the risk of GDV (bloat).

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for their dogs at all times and must keep them under control, respecting the space and comfort of others.

Clients must advocate for their dogs and disclose any medical or behavioural concerns before training. This allows me to assess whether the training environment and goals are appropriate. If you have concerns about your dog’s health or behaviour, please consult your vet before booking.

If a dog shows significant discomfort during training due to an undisclosed issue, I may pause or stop the session for welfare reasons and may refer you to another professional if needed.

Clients must clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste appropriately.

Health & Safety

Dogs must not attend training if they have an infectious illness (e.g. kennel cough). Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations. Parasite prevention (fleas, ticks, worms) is strongly recommended.

While every effort is made to keep sessions safe, clients are responsible for their own wellbeing during training exercises. Please inform me of any accessibility needs so adjustments can be made.

I may contact you to reschedule sessions to keep you and your dog safe (eg. in extreme weather conditions).

Payment

Payment is required in full before the training start date, unless a payment plan is agreed on. A completed pre-registration form must also be submitted before training begins. Training sessions are non-refundable, but cancellations or rescheduling requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis if reasonable notice is given.

Training Outcomes

Results cannot be guaranteed, as your dog’s welfare always comes first and success depends on consistent practice between sessions. However, I will provide the tools and guidance needed to support effective, ethical training.

This includes:

  • Realistic, achievable training goals

  • A personalised training plan and homework

  • Check-ins, ongoing support, and alternative options or referrals if needed

By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that successful training requires your time, effort, and consistency in addition to sessions with me.
